Yamaha has introduced a major update to its pro-audio line-up, launching three new product families designed for today’s increasingly hybrid production environments. The new MGX digital mixers, URX audio interfaces and CC1 creative controller reflect a clear focus on sound quality, flexibility and intuitive control — while staying true to the simplicity and reliability Yamaha is known for.
Together, these releases signal a shift towards more integrated workflows, supporting everything from live sound and music production to streaming, podcasting and content creation.
MGX Series – The Digital Evolution of an Analogue Classic
For years, Yamaha’s MG series compact analogue mixers have been an industry staple, trusted for their sound quality, versatility and ease of use. The new MGX series takes that familiar foundation and reimagines it for the digital age.
Available in 12- and 16-channel formats with smooth 60mm faders, MGX combines a powerful digital mixing engine with a 4.3” touch panel and dedicated control knobs for fast, intuitive operation. Premium mic preamps and high-resolution recording up to 32-bit / 96 kHz support Yamaha’s continued pursuit of True Sound, capturing performances with exceptional clarity and detail.
Built-in DSP delivers professional processing with latency-free monitoring, while assistive features such as Auto Gain, Clip Safe, Simple and Standard modes, and Scene Recall make setup quicker and more reliable in both live and installed environments. Dual USB-C connectivity, microSD recording and Bluetooth audio input ensure easy integration into modern systems, while MGX12V and MGX16V models add HDMI with 4K capture and pass-through for streaming and video-focused workflows. Multiple high-spec headphone amplifiers, flexible TRS outputs and optional rackmount kits complete a compact but highly capable digital mixer.
URX Series – Level Up from Entry-Level Interfaces
The new URX series digital audio interfaces are designed to bridge the gap between entry-level devices and more advanced production systems. While retaining a compact, unobtrusive design and simple connectivity, URX delivers a clear step up in audio quality, control and flexibility.
Each model features onboard DSP mixing tools and effects, integrated directly into a 4.3” touch panel interface, supported by carefully selected physical controls. Four customisable knobs and a Touch & Turn control provide fast, intuitive access to key parameters without slowing down the creative process.
Premium mic preamps with an impressive 78dB gain range, high-resolution recording up to 32-bit / 192 kHz and premium A/D conversion via (dual) USB-C ensure excellent capture quality across music production, recording and streaming applications. A high-spec dual headphone amplifier supports confident monitoring, while seamless integration with Elgato Stream Deck and OBS makes URX particularly appealing for content creators. The URX44V adds HDMI with 4K capture and pass-through, further strengthening the link between audio and video workflows. The range is finished in a compact design, available in black or white.
CC1 – Ultimate Creative Control
Completing the lineup is the CC1 USB controller, designed to give creators deeper, more fluid control over their software and systems. Built as an all-in-one, bus-powered USB-C controller, CC1 centres around a touch-sensitive 100mm motorised fader with high-resolution 10-bit control, paired with 12 ultra-responsive, assignable LCD keys offering unlimited banks.
CC1 supports advanced DAW and non-DAW control, integrating seamlessly with platforms such as Elgato Stream Deck, OBS and Steinberg software. This flexibility allows it to adapt easily to music production, recording, podcasting, live streaming and hybrid performance setups. A comprehensive creative software suite enables deep customisation, while a dedicated footswitch input supports Yamaha FC5 and FC7 pedals for hands-free operation. Designed with the future in mind, CC1 will continue to expand through updates adding further third-party software and hardware integration.
A Clear Direction for Modern Production
With the MGX, URX and CC1 ranges, Yamaha has outlined a clear vision for modern audio production: professional sound quality, intuitive control and systems that adapt to increasingly connected, multi-platform workflows. Whether you’re mixing live sound, building a studio, streaming content or managing hybrid setups, these new releases offer flexible, future-ready tools designed to grow with your needs.
